The Chairs
The structure is 100% natural bamboo with no metal elements used.
The various elements of the chair are modular and are assembled by interlocking. Separately, they represent the VgO logo.
Once disassembled, they are easy to transport and take up little space.
Why bamboo?
The bamboo plant, in fact, has a rapid and spontaneous growth cycle (just five years) and is not subject to cultivation or intensive exploitation, as it grows autonomously, constantly, and above all abundantly: every year, the mass of bamboo grows by 10-30% compared to 2-5% for trees; this makes it a widely available raw material and beneficial for the forest ecosystem. Due to its botanical and morphological characteristics, it is also well suited for this use in both extra-urban and anthropized areas to create real oxygen lungs, as it reduces atmospheric pollution and fine dust. One hectare of giant bamboo, in fact, can absorb 17 tons of carbon dioxide per year. Giant bamboo plants absorb approximately 5 times the amount of carbon dioxide and produce approximately 35% more oxygen, proportionally, compared to a forest of trees, thus reducing greenhouse gases.
